 Instructors

Michelle Weaver and Carla Alexander

Here at Jackson Equestrian Center our instructors practice what they teach.
Competing in local shows, breed shows, state, national and world events we are proud
to instruct the knowledge of these experiences to our clients. Why pay for anything less?
Our curriculum focuses on many disciplines, not just one. Why learn a little when you can learn it all!

Michelle Weaver

As a youngster, I had always focused on horses and had an understanding that my future would be surrounded by them. Through dedication and determination, I have made a successful career training horses and teaching people Total Horsemanship. As an instructor, I feel it is my duty to be a positive role model to my students.  I have compassion for all my students and help them grow to be better riders, to achieve their goals and to be positive influences to others. As a competitor, I practice safe, respectful horsemanship and show pride in all of my horse's abilities. Whether in Hunt Seat, Jumping, Western Pleasure, Halter, Gaited or Speed Events it is my passion to show each horse to its best potential. To excel in multiple disciplines is part of the Total Horsemanship experience. Horses are multi faceted creatures that are versatile, challenging, energetic and rewarding. It is my privilege to guide you into this wonderful world of Total Horsemanship.

Carla Alexander
My life with horses started as an adult. As a city kid and highly mobile Air Force Brat horses were not an option.  7 Years ago my husband and his father bought a horse for my oldest son and there has been no looking back.  Molly is still a part of my lesson program and is one of my favorites.  My goal for my students is for them to form an insatiable love of horses like I have.  Safety is my first focus, and I feel that balance is the most important factor in it.  As a competitor I strive to always think of my horses first.  I want them to get as much out of showing as I do.  Without that partnership it would be a hollow victory.  Working with horses is always a learning experience.  Every break through gives you such an exhilarating feeling and that is something
I want to share with my students.

With two full time professional instructors our lesson program excels!
Although we enjoy riding everyday, we are not recreational riders.
This is our profession and we take it very seriously.
Our students learn from our high standard of safety, our intense compassion for
horses and our talent for teaching total horsemanship to all ages.
I invite you to watch our clients in competition this year.
Behind the trophies, buckles and blue ribbons are confident, safe, knowledgeable and compassionate riders.
Our students excel in each event and represent our superior horsemanship program.
